Fiona graduated Curtin University in 2002 and has worked extensively in the United Kingdom and Australia in the vestibular, neurological and general rehabilitation fields. During her time at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, as the Senior Neurology Outpatients Physiotherapist, Fiona developed a special interest and gained valuable clinical experience in Vestibular Rehabilitation before moving into private practice in 2012.
Fiona completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Neurological Rehabilitation at UWA in 2008 and she has completed additional postgraduate Advanced Vestibular Rehabilitation Training in 2013, 2015 and 2017 with world-renowned Vestibular Specialist Susan Herdman. Fiona has completed advanced post graduate training in concussion management in 2020 and she is a certified LSVT BIG clinician, which is an intensive, evidence based exercise program for people with Parkinsons’ Disease. Fiona regularly attends NOTSA (Neuro-otological Society of Australia) meetings and works in collaboration with the Balance Centre at The Ear Science Institute.
Fiona regularly provides professional development to Physiotherapists and General Practitioners on vestibular disorders and rehabilitation including tutoring on The Introductory Vestibular Courses 2020, 2019, 2017, 2016, 2015.
Rachel graduated from the University of Notre Dame Australia in 2012 and since graduating has gained extensive experience working in the hospital sector as a senior physiotherapist at Joondalup Health Campus. She has worked in all areas of the hospital including rehabilitation, emergency and outpatient rehabilitation, as well as providing education for physiotherapists at the hospital in the area of vestibular rehabilitation.
Rachel attended the Vestibular Rehabilitation a Competency Based Course in 2016 in Atlanta Georgia with vestibular specialist Dr Susan Herdman and she completed the Advanced Vestibular Rehabilitation Course in 2020. Rachel has completed advanced post graduate training in concussion management in 2020 and she is a certified LSVT BIG clinician, which is an intensive, evidence based exercise program for people with Parkinsons’ Disease.
Rachel was the Senior Physiotherapist providing vestibular rehabilitation services at Joondalup Health Campus until she moved into private practice in 2019. Rachel is passionate about dizziness and balance disorders and helping clients regain their balance.
Kate graduated from the University of Brighton (UK) in 2003 and has worked extensively in the UK and Australia. She has worked in all areas of the hospital setting including as a senior physiotherapist in the emergency department, rehabilitation, general outpatients and running a falls clinic. Kate first developed an interest in vestibular disorders while working as a senior physiotherapist in the Fremantle Hospital emergency department from 2009-2012. Since this time she has worked with many patients with vestibular disorders and dizziness at Bunbury Regional Hospital and Rockingham General Hospital. While working at both Bunbury Hospital and Rockingham Hospital Kate provided education on vestibular disorders and rehabilitation to physiotherapists and medical staff.
Kate completed the Vestibular Rehabilitation a Competency Based Course in 2013 and Advanced Vestibular Rehabilitation training in 2017. Both courses were with vestibular specialist Dr Susan Herdman. Kate also has a Master of Clinical Physiotherapy (Manipulative Therapy Major) through Curtin University, which she completed in 2014.
On a personal note Kate is a keen amateur gardener and loves baking. She enjoys being outdoors and is currently exploring local playgrounds with a very active toddler.
Kate is excited to be seeing dizzy clients in the South West Clinics and she is passionate about providing high quality evidence-based care for all her patients.
